Initiative Romania
Founded in 1994, by the name Total Media Shop, Initiative is the first full-service media agency in Romania. Right from its founding year, it became the biggest press and radio buyer in Romania, to be named, one year later, the biggest TV space buyer.
In January 1996, Total Media Shop affiliated to Initiative Media Worldwide, part of IPG Group. The name Initiative remained always connected to unique innovations on the Romanian market: the first full covered bus, the first 3D board or the first sponsored summer TV programs, all “licensed” by Initiative.
As of 1997, Initiative assumed the mission of exclusively editing the first media specialized annual book in Romania, a complete compendium of the local media market, named Media Fact Book, now at its 11th edition.
Initiative integrally manages media accounts of prestigious companies: Orange Romania, Johnson & Johnson, BMW, Millenium Bank, MOL Romania, Pernod Ricard, GlaxoSmithKline, Provident Financial, Austrian Airlines or Kika.
Initiative Romania is one of the top 3 media agencies in Romania and a member of Interpublic Group of Companies [NYSE:IPG], one of the biggest marketing and communication holdings in the world.
